Stockyard awarded gold medals by Australian Wagyu Association

Stockyard continued to add to its impressive record of recognition for producing the finest quality Wagyu beef, with gold medal wins in the Australian Wagyu Association’s 2014 Branded Beef Competition, presented at a gala dinner on the Gold Coast.

Stockyard received a Gold Medal in the Fullblood Wagyu 100% class with its Stockyard Kiwami. The judging panel including eight recognised chefs and industry experts, described the product as an “extremely buttery, rich toasty caramel cereal flavour and extremely rich and zesty on the palate”.

Stockyard Chairman Robin Hart contributes to book on the Australian lotfeeding industry

Next month will see the release of a book on the history of the Australian lotfeeding industry, at the Beefex 2014 conference on the Gold Coast.

The book, “Grainfed: The history of the Australian feedlot industry”, will feature interviews with some of the most influential people within the industry.

Stockyard crowned Champion Large Beef Producer at Royal Melbourne Fine Food Awards

Stockyard has been recognised as the Champion Large Beef Producer in the 2014 Royal Melbourne Fine Food Awards.      The pictured trophy was awarded to the highest scoring beef product amongst all gold winners from the individual beef categories.

Stockyard wins silver medals in 2014 Royal Sydney Fine Food Show

Stockyard has maintained an impressive run in this year’s branded beef competitions – this time being awarded with silver medals in both the grain fed and Wagyu classes at the Royal Sydney Fine Food Show.

Despite a large number of competitors in both classes, by winning these medals both our Stockyard Black and Stockyard Gold labels have again displayed the high quality in appearance, taste and tenderness for which they are renowned.
