Stockyard has been awarded for their outstanding export success and contribution to the state’s economic activity, receiving the Premier of Queensland’s Export Award for Agribusiness.

The award recognises Stockyard’s significant export achievements throughout Japan, Middle East, Korea, North America, Taiwan, China and South East Asia over the past 12 months and builds upon last year’s Highly Commended in the same category.

We are extremely proud to receive this award that recognises both our commitment to highlighting Australian produce on an international stage and our ambition to be the finest global producer and supplier of superior grain fed Angus and Wagyu.

The success of our company wouldn’t be possible without the dedication our team demonstrates through all levels of our supply chain and we are extremely thankful for their ongoing passion and devotion.

Stockyard continues to raise the steaks

Stockyard has again been recognised at the Sydney Royal Fine Food Show, awarded Champion and gold medals for their Stockyard Gold brand in the Grain-fed category, as well as receiving a Silver Medal in the Wagyu Category.
The award is Stockyard’s 48th, confirming their position as Australia’s most awarded beef brand and follows a string of recent accolades including five major awards already received in 2016.

Stockyard Managing Director, Lachie Hart, said the recognition was testament to Stockyard’s commitment to producing the highest quality products for Australian and international consumers.

“We are extremely honoured to receive awards that recognise the care we take to produce exceptional beef,” Mr Hart said.

“The success of our company wouldn’t be possible without the commitment our team demonstrated through all levels of our supply chain and we are extremely thankful for their ongoing passion and dedication,” he said.

Judged by a panel of chefs, restaurateurs and industry leaders, the Stockyard Gold was awarded thanks to its visual presentation, tenderness and overall flavours.

Stockyard Gold is produced at the Hart family’s award winning Kerwee feedlot, located at Jondaryan in Queensland’s Darling Downs from specially selected Angus genetics that are raised on a nutritionally formulated high energy grain ration for 200 days using locally grown produce.

Yoshikei Visit June 2016

During June staff from Yoshikei visited Kerwee feedlot for their 13th annual mission to observe the Kerwee lotfeeding processes and Stockyard marketing operations.

The mission has again proved to be a success, with staff from both of our companies happy to have spent time together and further extend their knowledge.

Stockyard’s Long Fed cube roll proved to be popular at dinner time; Yoshikei described it as “Oishii” ( Japanese for “tastes very good”). There was certainly none left over by the end of the dinner!

We look forward to welcoming the next Yoshikei mission.
