Payroll & Accounts Officer
We have a very rare opportunity to join our Finance team based in Brisbane in a full-time permanent role where you’ll become an integral member of our close-knit, fun, and friendly team. You’ll be able to combine your payroll, bookkeeping and administration skills to provide support to the Finance and Executive Leadership Team.
responsibilities
Your job will include:
- Management of all payroll duties including:
- Payroll processing
- Payroll reconciliation
- Payroll Reporting including end of month, Superannuation, Payroll Tax and PAYG-W reporting
- Managing payroll employee files in the company payroll software and being the first port of call for payroll related training or enquiries from team members
- Inputting and reconciling internal rosters for payroll purposes
- Assist with accounts payable including the processing of supplier invoice sand reconciliation to statements ensuring accounts are accurate and up to date
- Assist with accounts receivable including receipting debtor payments when required and follow up of aged debtors
- Reconcile bank accounts when required
- On occasion you may be required to assist the CEO and CFO to ensure the smooth coordination and administration of board and executive meetings and assist with general office management and administrative tasks for the efficient running of our business.
Qualifications
We are keen to hear from you if you possess the following:
- Qualifications in payroll and bookkeeping
- Demonstrated experience in payroll and a bookkeeping role or similar, qualifications in these areas beneficial but not prerequisite.
- Experience working with payroll management software and/or integrated accounting software. Dynamics 365 Business Central and FoundU Payroll Software experience or similar would be beneficial.
- Excellent Microsoft Word & Excel skills
- Strong organisation skills with meticulous attention to detail
- An excellent communicator, you’re not phased juggling multiple tasks at hand and can work diligently with competing priorities
- You’re a great collaborator with cross-functional teams and external partners and can work independently with a willingness and confidence to manage deadlines
- You consider yourself a foodie and have an interest in agriculture
