Stockyard sweeps Beef Champion Classes at 2026 Royal Queensland Awards

Stockyard claimed Grand Champion and Champion MSA Graded Branded Beef titles at the 2026 Royal Queensland Awards.

We’re proud to have claimed the highest honours at the 2026 Royal Queensland Awards (RQA) Branded Beef Competition, securing both Grand Champion Branded Beef of Show and Champion MSA Graded Branded Beef of Show.

These results reinforce our position among Australia’s leading premium beef producers and reflect the consistency, care and craftsmanship behind every Stockyard brand.

Grand Champion Branded Beef of Show: Stockyard Kiwami

Our pinnacle Wagyu brand, Stockyard Kiwami, was named Grand Champion Branded Beef of Show, receiving a gold medal in Class 4 – Wagyu AUS‑MEAT MB7+.

Stockyard Kiwami recorded the highest overall score of the competition, outperforming 45 branded beef entries to be crowned Australia’s Best Steak by the RQA judging panel.

Stockyard Kiwami represents the very best of what we produce. It is:

  • Fed for 400 days on an all‑natural ration
  • Designed to maximise marbling, flavour and eating quality
  • Hand‑selected to meet our exacting quality standards
Champion MSA Graded Branded Beef of Show: Stockyard Gold

We also claimed Champion MSA Graded Branded Beef of Show with Stockyard Gold, taking out gold in Class 1 – Grain Fed.

This 2026 award coincides with 30 years of Stockyard Gold, marking three decades of continuous production and performance in the Australian grain‑fed beef category.

The win builds on our success at the 2025 Royal Queensland Awards, where Stockyard Gold also claimed Champion MSA Graded Branded Beef, highlighting long‑term consistency in eating quality and grading outcomes.

Our Commitment to Quality and Consistency

Marcus Doumany, Chief Operating Officer – Pastoral and Livestock, said the dual champion wins reflect the dedication of our team across the entire production process.

“Winning both Champion titles and two gold medals in 2026 is an incredible achievement for our team and a testament to their care and consistency across all aspects of production. We’re thrilled to have our commitment to quality recognised once again.”
